The mission
I’m Jon Underhill, an independent bike fitter and founder of CORE Bike Fit. My mission is to help cyclists of all abilities discover their Optimal Rider Experience — an individually tailored fit that enhances comfort, performance and enjoyment on the bike. That mission inspired the name CORE Bike Fit and remains at the centre of everything I do.
“I want to help as many people as I can enjoy riding their bicycles.”
Shoes and feet
My family background is shoes and feet. I would have been the fifth generation of master shoe repairers if I hadn’t fallen in love with bikes. It’s no coincidence I focus on the interaction between your feet, shoes, cleats and pedals — to me the single most overlooked and misunderstood interaction with any bicycle. #focusonyourfeet
Been there
Having struggled for years with tight shoulders and neck pain when riding, I know how it feels to not be comfortable on the bike. I used to just grit my teeth and bear it, thinking it had to be this way. Fortunately I now know what was causing it and, more importantly, how to solve it.
Training
By learning from some of the industry’s leading bike fitters and movement neurologists, I have developed a skill set that lets me provide advanced bike fitting techniques personalised for you. I’m an IBFI Certified Fitter, Level 2.

Independent
As an independent fitter I am not tied to using any product or to selling things as a traditional bike shop might. I don’t suggest anything I wouldn’t use myself.
